Position: Mobile PM Tech

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

What you'll be contributing:

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Inspect mobile equipment and complete lube checks, safety inspections, complete records, and wear and tear items to be reported to the supervisor of the assigned vehicle.

• Learn the workflow process and support its accuracy.
• Initiates work orders for repairs to each unit and maintains PM schedule and documentation.
• It operates all types of mobile equipment and a large shop truck.
• Maintains inventories for filter, oil, grease, cooler and blending, batteries, fuel, and tires.
• Maintains the wash rack and supplies.
• Inspects and performs housekeeping in all spill prevention areas, such as pumps, berms, barrel storage, and tanks.
• Inspects and maintains good housekeeping in the truck shop.
• Gathers machine operation hours daily.
• Enters and maintains hour reports in the system for the PM schedule.
• Performs reports and ships S.O.S. sampling for P.M.s.
• Assists plant operations with fuel runs.

To succeed in this position, you will need: (Education, Experience, Other Requirements, Travel)

• High school graduation or equivalent is required
• Minimum Diesel Mechanic or Equivalent
• Minimum Current and valid driver's license and good driving record
• Minimum 1 year of experience mobile equipment maintenance, cutting, welding, and fabricating skills
• CAT Maintenance Preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Willingness to learn, training will be provided

What to expect in a cement environment:

Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
