RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a MIS Desktop Systems Technician in Altamonte Springs, FL. Responsibilities:

• Provides accurate and timely support services for software and hardware (both mainframe and PC) including all peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, & PDA's
• Installs hardware and software, and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network problems, escalating to the responsible area with accurate information
• Maintains the service level agreements by using the tools provided, such as the MIS tracking system
• May need to be available by phone/pager during normal working hours and after hours for critical matters
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

REQUIREMENTS:

• A+ Certification (Issued by CompTIA)
• Two or four-year degree in IT, Electronics or similar areas, with experience in installing, configuring, and repairing personal computers (PCs), printers, and scanners
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of solving problems quickly and accurately
• Able to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good discretion as position has access to confidential patient and company information
• Able to work independently and with other team members, with little direct supervision
• Above average ability and experience with Windows operating systems, MS office packages, and Outlook email clients
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, and the Novell and mainframe environments
