About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an a great opportunity for a Mgr., MV Automation Business to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role l eads all sales and marketing activities related to the Medium Voltage Automation business, including MV Drives, MV Softstarters, and other attached equipment as required. This position will be responsible for the definition and development of key markets, channels, and customers to growth the MV Automation business to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals. This position leads a team of internal and external resources, as well as coordinates with other WEG personnel in other sales groups to achieve goals. This position will also lead the defining of product and service needs to grow in the identified target markets, and be a part of the team to determine the best manufacturing locations and strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generates sales leads, develops sales channels, and makes technical presentations.
  • Leads team of application engineers and sales specialists to ensure that proposals, bids, and installations are handled in an effective and timely manner.
  • Collaborative problem-solving to achieve successful project references and continue to strengthen WEG�s market reputation
  • Assures that sales and profit-related goals are met.
  • Manages team of sales representatives, providing technical information in order to support the sales process.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization�s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • Bachelor�s degree in business or a related field from a 4-year college or university is preferred.


Knowledge / training:
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs and market trends, as well as knowledge of internal infrastructure and processes.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in document, mathematical, or diagram form.
  • People management.
  • Strategic management.
  • Ability to lead cross-cultural / cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience:
  • 5-10+ years of relevant business experience preferred.
