Are you our next Manager EHS Management Systems?

Lead a team responsible for ensuring that Mosaic's corporate management system and all related environment, health and safety standards, tools, policies and procedures are aligned with company needs and aspirations, as well as meeting applicable regulatory requirements. Will facilitate management system performance reviews to understand trends, recommend focus for continuous improvement, recommend assurance activities and facilitate discussions with senior leaders on performance and future strategies. What will you do?

  • Lead the global management review process for Mosaic to ensure it is effectively meeting the needs of the business to manage risks and achieve the goal of zero harm to people and the environment.
  • This includes analysis of data and related information to identify trends and predict high risk areas.
  • Incorporates this analysis with feedback and management reviews from the business units to provide updates, recommendations and discussions at the senior leadership level.
  • Ensure corporate standards and procedures are relevant, effective and updated to align with current strategic direction.
  • Understand emerging trends in the field, benchmark Mosaic's performance and management system with other companies, and determine how to successfully incorporate new EHS strategies into current operations.
  • Represent Mosaic at industry/professional associations and consortiums.
  • Owner of Mosaic's Legal and Other Requirements standard and associated audit software and audit protocols.
  • Facilitate quarterly reviews with operations and EHS leaders across Mosaic's operations in conjunction with external experts to assess changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support to the audit process.
  • Report to Internal Audit on compliance audit findings and any significant concerns.
  • Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals, and performance standards.
  • Manage performance issues when necessary.
  • Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow talent.
  • Support employees in career development at Mosaic.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or related technical field required.
  • 10 years of experience in an operating environment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing safety management systems, audits and improvement processes across a large number of facilities.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and facilitating strong safety performance.
  • Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to participate and assess large-scale internal and external issues that may impact the business in the long-term and take proactive action to mitigate risks.
  • Must possess excellent analytical written and verbal communication, coaching and consulting skills.
  • Insightful about safety and health fundamentals; grasps concepts and the implications of emerging approaches.
  • Proven strategic planning, leadership, and project management capabilities.
  • Requires knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS & S regulations required.
  • Experience managing consultant activities required.
