HORIBA Semiconductor's proprietary analysis technology is fully demonstrated in a wide range of fields - semiconductors, medicine, environment, science and engine measurements. In high-tech industries like semiconductor manufacturing, HORIBA provides an extensive selection of process monitors for integration into manufacturing lines that aid the safe production of high performance devices.

Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an experienced Metrology Technician at our R&D Technology Center in Reno, Nevada, to complete different process levels for the engineering and operation of flow metrology and testing related operations. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operate and maintain our process gas/liquid testing equipment and fluid testing laboratories under direction of project engineers and scientists. Specifically, all Rate of Change (ROC) equipment.
  • Provide support to all liquid and vaporization testing equipment and laboratories by conducting basic experiment set up.
  • Conduct various analytical and/or micro contamination studies using leak detectors, Mass spectrometers, gas analyzers, particle counters, data acquisition setups/software etc.,
  • Conduct basic automation and system control configuration. Write automation control scripts.


  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    Requires general electrical assembly experience and knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles.
  • Strong math skills along with spreadsheet experience.
  • Incumbent typically has certificate or associates degree from a technical school, math or engineering degree, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office programs.
  • Script and programming understanding a plus for automated control routines.
