Meet the team:

Our Global Shop Floor Systems group is an enterprise team that develops and applies our digital strategy to Dexcom's manufacturing operations. We work with leading edge hardware and software technologies to seamlessly integrate our shop floor systems within the organization to enable optimal operational and business performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting software solutions that connect our manufacturing and packaging systems to our operational datastores and manufacturing execution systems across the enterprise.

Where you come in:

  • You will collaborate with other Dexcom teams to develop requirements, design criteria, and testing procedures.
  • You will develop new and maintain existing automation applications based on Inductive Automation's Ignition platform.
  • You will support manufacturing operations by investigating and solving application issues involving process data collection and integrations with other systems.
  • You will participate in multiple projects ranging from enhancements to existing applications to new equipment introduction.
  • You will create and update technical, validation, and administrative documentation following Dexcom's SLDC methodology.
  • You will perform unit, integration, and validation testing both independently and with other teams.

What makes you successful:
  • You are knowledgeable in object-oriented programming languages, such as C#, Java and Python. Experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition platform is a plus.
  • You can create SQL queries for data analysis and debugging.
  • You have a working knowledge of Ethernet networking.
  • You have excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills.
  • You have flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a hands-on attitude and able to troubleshoot software applications.
  • Your familiarity with equipment automation and discrete manufacturing is a plus.

Travel Required:
  • 5-15%

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master's degree and 0-2 years' equivalent experience
