Mending / Spotter - Performing mending and sewing tasks. Spotting stained linens to ready for rewash, as needed. Put transfers on new linen as needed. Helping on floor when needed.

This position will:

• To alert General Manager, Production Manager and or Maintenance person of any potential safety hazard known.
• Mend torn and damaged linens as necessary.
• Keeping records of linens discarded.
• To use stain removal techniques in an effort to save linens for further use.
• Put new transfers on new linen as needed.
• Help in various production areas, as needed.
• Immediate area maintained:
1. Sewing machine kept clean and covered when not in use.
2. Patching machine kept clean and covered when not in use.
3. Cleaning and spotting supplies stored properly when not in use.
• Maintain production speed of standards set to meet the needs of facilities.
• Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education/Experience:
• Ability to read and write, and do addition and subtraction required.
• Ability to follow and give oral instructions as required.
• One week on the job raining to familiarize with equipment operation and routine.

Compensation:
$15/hour

Additional Notes:
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
TB test and Hep B series shots required
