Responsibilities

he Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained. This is a Every Other Weekend Day Position, the Shift Differential is $6 per hr. for day shift .

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
Experience
  • One to two years Lab experience
Certification and Licensure
  • ASCP eligible
Required Skills
  • Computer Skills to include use and navigation
  • Excellent Communications Skills
  • Multitasking
