Job Description

The Mechanic will be responsible for the functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems by performing routine construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of (measurement) equipment so that measurements of the required quality can be made in the field. Helps seeking solutions for improvement of equipment, working processes, and safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
• Performs maintenance on geophysical equipment such as winches, compressors, and other equipment.
• Performs fundamental electrical wiring maintenance on equipment as required.
• Inspects all hydraulic equipment regularly to maintain a safe working order.
• Welds various equipment regularly to maintain a safe working order.
• Weld various equipment components, aluminum, and steel.
• Drives company vehicles, and transports equipment to and from various locations.
• Mobilizes and de-mobilizes equipment on company or charted vessels.
• Job is performed in the field and/or workshop.

Job Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record; must be able to acquire Chauffeurs' license, including DOT medical card.
• Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and TWIC card.
• Have 3 years or more of relevant work experience required.
• Possess a senior secondary vocational education or equivalent professional and intellectual experience required.
