JOB SUMMARY:
A Material Stocker uses industrial equipment in handling and transferring material.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Read and interpret pallet paperwork & labels
• Maintain familiarity with plant layout and stock locations
• Understand how to and safely use pallet jack in performing various tasks
• Enter plant receipt reports into computerized database
• Receive and stock materials in correct locations
• Must be able to learn and identify all cabinet parts, components and stock locations
• Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping for yourself and your team
• Perform other duties that may be assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to identify wood species, finishes, cabinet types, color variances, etc.
• Ability to use basic math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to identify & process damaged or flawed material in lieu of stocking it
• Ability to read and use a tape measurer


Required Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Required Physical Ability:
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, crouching, pulling & pushing
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. & occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures.
• Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, gloves, and other.
• The noise level is usually moderate to high.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work, required.
