Job Description:
Come join the team at Cornhusker State Industries (CSI)! We provide workforce training and development to nearly 500 incarcerated men and women. CSI is a financially self-supported program of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). We are searching for a motivated and detail oriented candidate to oversee and manage the marketing and communications of Cornhusker State Industries.

DUTIES:

CSI is seeking a professional to prepare, distribute and maintain accurate catalog, pricing and marketing materials, manage CSI sales inventory, develop customer leads, maintain customer databases, maintain the showroom, assist in walk-in customers and perform sales-related functions. Duties include graphic design work for multiple product lines; preparation of materials for customer presentations; managing CSI's website; preparation of documents, reports and correspondence that support the marketing and sales cycle using Microsoft Office Suite, graphic design software, and the State of Nebraska Payroll and Financial Center system. The ideal candidate will also help brainstorm and develop creative marketing campaigns to the appropriate target audience through social media, email marketing, conferences, etc.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, graphic arts, digital media, videography, or related field and at least one year of experience in coordinating, planning, and managing public relations/publicity campaigns, mass media communication activities and/or public information programs. Required experience may substitute for the education on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing a website, working with government entities and/or non-profit organizations; knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft programs, Enterprise and Resource planning/ E1.

Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Corrections Training Program.
