Job Description:

The Market Development Manager is responsible for increasing the awareness of Zettle products and services across their territory, ultimately increasing our market presence within local small business communities.A largely autonomous, hybrid role, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset,responsible for targeting, qualifying andclosingSMBsingle& multi-site operators. This includesbuilding an extensive network through identification and activation of local partnerships,as well asprotecting and growing revenues of a high value account portfolio.

Core Competencies:
  • Keyaccountacquisition - end to end responsibility of the sales cycle, including identifying strategic new business opportunities within a specific segment/geographical focus.
  • Detailed understanding ofZettlecoresegments, solutions landscape, market trends and competitors are required
  • Ability to plan, build and maintain a large pipeline of new business and local partnershipprospects
  • Ability to confidently consultand present toprospective merchants and partners on key business solutionsand theZettlevalue proposition
  • Responsible for early life account management of new customersand the retention of alimitedportfolio of high value accounts
  • Supporting overall Market DevelopmentandGeo Strategyobjectives(one of the pillars of the go-to-market-strategy)via individual projects and initiatives, as well as providing valuable insight and feedback forinternal departments/forums
  • Identify and act on new commercial opportunities forZettle/Paypal

Directly reporting to Regional Lead.

Requirements:
  • Ideally 2+ years sales/business development experience required - Outside Sales preferred
  • Exposure to small to medium sized businesses
  • Proven track record of high performance and consistent delivery of goals
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • IdeallyBA/BSdegreeor equivalent
