Meta is seeking a Manager to lead a Business Analytics team within the Infrastructure Business (IBOS) organization. This IBOS Business Analytics org owns the business and technical engagement across a variety of Data Science Teams (Data Engineering, Data Scientists, Business intelligence) for delivery of analytical insights for IBOS. The Manager will be expected to forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders and leverage several analytical concepts to help identify and analyze supply chain process optimization and analytical research opportunities to allow IBOS to scale and work more efficiently. The Manager will build, lead and develop a team of business analysts delivering analytics insights. The team will be focused on working closely with our business partners to perform ad-hoc process and analytical research to uncover insights that are easy to digest, as well as developing KPIs and metrics. Furthermore, the team will be responsible for partnering with our Data Science teams to create scalable, productionalized insights and statistical models based on their research and analysis.

Manager, Inventory and Logistics Analytics Responsibilities:

  • Lead, grow and develop a strong bench of highly effective business analysts
  • Leverage data and business principles to identify and solve complex business problems utilizing Data Science for the wider IBOS Organization and its Stakeholders
  • Partner with multiple cross-functional teams to define problem statements, collect data, build statistical intelligence and actionable recommendations
  • Continue to define and develop analytics programs in partnership with cross-functional Data Science Team from metrics creation, data collection, modeling, and reporting the operational performance of Facebook's data centers
  • Define, execute and track a roadmap of analytics needs and deliverables for IBOS
  • Identify required data sources and partner with cross-functional Data Science Team to connect relevant data and provide descriptive and diagnostics insights to drive key decisions to the Infrastructure organization
  • Standardize and streamline reporting solutions to drive effective decision making
  • Oversee statistical model development, Hypothesis testing and other Data Analytics solutions built by the Data Scientists in cross-functional Data Science Teams and integrate them with the IBOS operations
  • Conduct deep-dive and diagnostic analysis by using data analysis, share actionable insights and recommendations, and support critical data-based decision making to help IBOS and Site Services scale efficiently
  • Routinely communicate opportunities, trends and other key indicators to IBOS organizations
  • Lead and support various critical projects, day-to-day business execution for existing initiatives and priorities, and unplanned work, as needed, in support of Meta's Infrastructure strategy


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science)
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams and hands-on people management in a matrixed organization
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across stakeholders
  • Track record of successfully leading people & initiatives in a cross functional environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience - such as influencing partners, organizations, successful mentoring, supporting growth of other employees and teams etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects
  • Proven experience mentoring individual contributors
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data driven models to drive business decisions
  • Work experience using data access tools and building visualizations using large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Experience distilling data from across teams at different organizational levels
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills to bring simplification to complex engagements
  • Knowledge of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in an engineering field (e.g. Industrial, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research)
  • Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Logistics experience
  • Experience in building and maintaining data driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms and capacity constraint models
  • Experience with big data and statistics
  • Technical knowledge of data center operations
  • High quantitative acumen to interface with Operational Research, Data Science and Finance Leaders
  • Excellent problem solving skills using data
