What you'll do...

Walmart Business is a new initiative to save businesses, nonprofits and governments time, money and hassle so they can focus on their missions. Our aim is to leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers. We're bringing together the Every Day Low Prices, assortment, omnichannel capabilities, and store footprint and community presence of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.

Our team is seeking a Manager I, Advanced Analytics to help provide data and insights needed to run the business day to day. As an Analytics manager for Walmart Business, you'll have access to our vast global data lake and all of the new data to be harvested from this brand new business. You will createinsightsthatinfluencehow we make decisionsthat haveimpactatan unprecedented scale.You will be responsible for automating and optimizing key reports that go out to senior leadership as well as deliver insights to teams responsible for execution.

As a Manager I in Advanced Analytics, you will be working closely with other Analytics leaders to help design and develop self-serve capabilities that democratize the data for business. We're looking for a self-driven, problem-solver who can hit the ground running to ultimately influence decision-making across the entire organization.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing processes and toolsthatmonitor,analyzeand continuously improve reporting performance and data accuracy
  • Leveraging intermediate to advanced SQL fordata wrangling and modeling techniques,selecting thebest fitfor structured& unstructured, complex data,and developingcustom analytics processestogenerate insights that drive value for our customers andunlock competitive advantage forour organization
  • Collaborating with our data engineerstogatherthe rightinformation fromourvarious sourcesso that you canimplement and design the right data processes
  • Conductingexploratoryanalysisincluding hypothesis testing
  • Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translatechallenging retailbusiness problemsintostate-of-the-art data sciencesolutions
  • Leveraging BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for automating the delivery of data and insights to the business

Minimum Qualifications...

  • 2-3 years' experience in business analytics
  • Proficient with SQL (experience in GCP, Hive, BigQuery preferred)
  • Hands on experience with BI tools; Tableau /R shiny/Looker / Power BI
  • Experience in extracting and automating large-scale data
  • Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication skills. Conducting written and verbal presentation to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.


Preferred Qualifications...

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, Scala, or R,
  • Comfortable using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
  • Extensive Experience in leading complex projects from start to end
  • Experience in quantitative modeling and statistics.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 1 year's experience in data analytics or related field OR 3 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
