General Summary:

You will be part of a talented team of Global engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical requirements and ensuring the highest levels of availability, and system performance. Qualified data engineers will have a background in data analytics, computer systems engineering, or software engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Solutions Delivery Management

• Work closely with Business and IT teams to ensure the delivered solutions meet Data delivery requirements

• Partner with other internal stakeholders to assess how technologies can best streamline processes and/or add value

• Manage projects effectively (e.g. ability to resolve simple or complex problems with urgency and diplomacy)

• Execute plans to drive higher solution efficiency and delivery velocity of Data Services solution

2. Solutions Delivery - Analysis, Design, and Development

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big-data technologies

• Build data pipelines to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics

• Responsible to collaborate with others on development and delivery of

• ETL architecture design and ETL programs, Data Reconciliation processes, and Data Services solutions

• Responsible for ensuring that the technical output of the Data Engineering team conforms to best practices and standards

• Manager is expected to perform hands-on development of solutions as well as performance optimization, data mappings, and ETL progress design

• Draft technical design and specifications, and data lineage

• Responsible for other related assessments such as Data Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Impact Analysis, As-Is solution assessment and To-Be solution recommendation, etc.

3. Test and Maintenance

• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes

• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

• Update process documentation to keep system library up to date

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

• Validate system developed according to requirement by testing

4. Perform all other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in building and optimizing relational and structured data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

• Has in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge of data domains

• Ability to find solutions on data requirements and issues

• Ability to conduct code reviews to ensure that the technical output conforms to best practices and standards

• Ability to communicate and influence Business and IT in terms of understanding the data requirements, respective data solutions, and technical decisions

• SQL and Oracle knowledge required

• Strong collaboration skills required

• Strong communication skills required (oral and written)

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in Data analysis

• Data Integration tools and experience via using tools such as Informatica, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS S3, and languages such as Stored Procedures, Python, Spark, etc.

• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Condition:

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
