The Role

Knowable is looking to pioneer some of the most innovative technology-enabled solutions in the contracts industry. The Manager, Onboarding will support our engagement managers in ensuring a first-rate onboarding experience as we deploy technology and services to our clients by executing Knowable's project management and technology deployment methodologies. This role is the glue of our client support teams, taking strategic direction from our engagement managers and leveraging strong project management and communications skills to ensure our client obligations are met and our cross functional support teams are working effectively together pursuant to a detailed, comprehensive project plan and communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support deployment of our technology and services to our clients by executing Knowable's project management and technology deployment methodologies for assigned projects
  • Create and maintain standard project management artifacts and a detailed cross-functional project plan in Airtable that cares for all aspects of delivery and technology deployment, including a roadmap for all deliverables, dependencies between tasks and functions, and critical path
  • Deploy client and internal communication plan, including scheduling calls, preparing kickoff presentations and status updates, and documenting decisions and action items
  • Direct all aspects of deployment and configuration of our proprietary contract data management platform for our clients; test to confirm configuration meets specifications and all features purchased by client are deployed and ready for user onboarding
  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of the accountabilities of our core functional teams and become fluent with, and stay abreast of all changes to our technology product
  • Ensure our systems of record are kept up to date for all assigned projects, including ticketing and updating our finance and time-tracking platforms
  • Adherence to all project plans and deadlines, internal SLAs, and client contractual requirements
  • Implement, and operate within, a collaborative environment with highly motivated colleagues and interact with all relevant parts of the business, client services, technology, product, and corporate functions as needed
  • Deploy standard process and planning artifacts in Airtable, customizing and developing artifacts as required
  • Support Onboarding program leadership in improving standard client onboarding capabilities by identifying opportunities for changes, best practices and process improvements
  • Manage onboarding specialists where required, including taking accountability for performance of direct reports, effective delegation/oversight of key tasks and activities, and people management of direct reports

Successful Candidates

As such, successful candidates must be highly capable in each of the following dimensions (among others): adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking/problem solving, proactivity, collaboration, technologically savvy, and operating with/through a lean team (for people leaders: must be comfortable in a player/coach role.)

Essential Criteria:
  • 5+ years of client service and problem-solving leadership within a top-tier Alternative Legal Services Provider, Management Consulting firm or a similar role within an in-house Legal Operations department for a F500 company
  • Strong technical project management skills and experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Analytical and organizational mindset paired with high-impact communication and presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from different disciplines
  • Relentless focus on client needs, consistently raising the bar on service excellence and driving process improvement
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office suite (including PowerPoint and Excel); experience using Airtable to manage projects a plus
  • Background in contract management or administration, contract analysis, contract intelligence, or other relevant legal services experience preferred
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred
