Job Description

WNET's Major Gifts Associate is a key member of the Major and Planned Giving team, responsible for coordinating/managing key solicitation and stewardship initiatives and working closely with WNET's major and planned giving team and donors. The objectives of this position are to grow the donor pipeline increasing Major, Planned and Trustee Giving as well as donor engagement. This will include engaging with major donors and trustees on the phone, via email and at events.

Specific responsibilities include:
* Manage Trustee giving and solicitations for WNET, including drafting request letters, overseeing follow-up and tracking in SalesForce database;
* Monitor Major Giving Unrestricted solicitations and schedule;
* Support Planned Giving marketing efforts, and follow-up on Planned Giving inquiries;
* Draft and edit donor proposals and reports, as needed;
* Prepare program updates and "one-sheets" with metrics and impact for key series;
* Draft donor messaging including emails and on-air recognition messages;
* Work closely with Development Operations to create Major Giving and Trustee dashboards, monitor and maintain data integrity in SalesForce database, in keeping with industry best practices;
* Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience in non-profit fundraising/development, preferably in individual giving. In addition, candidates must be highly organized with attention to detail; possess superior people skills, the ability to take initiative, and work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced, team environment. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including excellent writing and editing skills will be needed; proficiency with MS Office required (especially Word, Excel and mail merge functions) and fundraising databases; Salesforce preferred, as well as the ability to work remotely and collaboratively until offices reopen. Candidates with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, are preferred.
