General Description of Position:

This position would be responsible for selling an entire portfolio of telecom services (data, voice, & video) to small, medium, and large businesses. The role is focused on customer acquisition but requires account management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following.

  • Proactively and effectively communicates the benefits of Hargray’s products and services to municipalities, universities, school districts, and hospitals.   
  • Prospects for revenue growth opportunities beyond the existing customer base. 
  • Schedules in-person visits with the key decision-makers. 
  • Monitors and load all sales activity into the CRM system daily. 
  • Focuses on proactive customer touches. 
  • Demonstrates a practical and efficient working knowledge of all of the products and services. 
  • Works in conjunction with other departments to determine service capabilities and requirements for strategic accounts. 
  • Provides training and knowledge assistance, as required, on the use of products and services to customers. 
  • Communicates with other departments as needed. 
  • Communicates independently, effectively, clearly, and professionally with customers, employees, supervisors, and managers to establish and maintain considerate and cooperative relationships.  Handles customer requests and communications by phone, E-mail, fax, mail, and face to face. 
  • Keeps abreast of current industry trends and practices as they relate to customer service and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 



Minimum Qualifications: Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years sales or account management experience; business sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and managers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed. 
  • Ability to use own vehicle for company use.
