YOUR ROLE

  • Inventory all maintenance parts, creates SAP material catalog items and manages the parts inventory shelving space to efficiently house parts.
  • Coordinate parts receipts to efficiently schedule work based on parts receipt.
  • Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Establish parts minimum inventory and re-order points with Maintenance team members.
  • Order parts to keep minimum inventory levels and track delivery of parts. Expedite when needed.
  • Assemble equipment rebuild kits for efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Reviews Planned Work Order Backlog and from this listing secure materials that are stored on Site in inventory. Confirms parts are available for withdrawal.
  • Change WO SAP Status when materials have been ordered or services have been sourced.
  • Confirm that purchased materials have been ordered and have been received or will be received with a high degree of certainty.
  • Once materials are received, confirm that the materials are correct and in the appropriate quantities.
  • Review the weekly work plan be prepared to kit materials required for the planned work order
  • As necessary expedite parts, materials, tools equipment and services so as to comply with the scheduled timing of work orders.
  • Based upon the weekly and daily schedule, physically gather all materials, parts, hard copy job plans and tools for those jobs posted on the schedule and prepare job its, accurately labeled with the SAP work order number and staged appropriately.
  • As required, work with Maintenance Planner to facilitate shipping and return to the site of equipment to be repaired or rebuilt by external vendors.
  • Participate in all audits, provide all required information as requested
  • Following all safety rules
  • Communicating with direct supervisor and/or safety coordinator/team regarding potential injury exposures or ideas for reducing injury exposures.
  • Other duties as assigned

YOUR SKILLS

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years of relevant experience with parts/inventory or transferrable knowledge with parts
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment parts
  • Prefer LEAN manufacturing experience to include 5S
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Stand, stoop, and walk frequently during the shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Climb and descend ladders and stairs
  • Routinely sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled work area
