Maintenance Engineer - BFG3

Join us at Michelin and make a difference as Maintenance Engineer for our Tuscaloosa plant in Alabama. This manufacturing facility produces semi-finished materials, radial passenger car tires, light truck tires and the BFGoodrich® Competition Tires. We are serving the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) as well as the replacement market (After Market) with our BFGoodrich® and Uniroyal® brands.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide technical support for maintaining the machines and equipment in his/her area of responsibility
  • Coach and train mechanical and electrical troubleshooters
  • Be technical support expert when interacting with methods, engineering, and contractors
  • Review and optimize maintenance inspections (frequency, type, content, execution)
  • Provide input on repair schedule based on inspection and breakdown analysis
  • Ensure machine bill of materials is up to date and repair parts are stocked according to risk and usage
  • Upgrade equipment by replacing obsolete parts and proactively replacing with more capable parts
  • Manage / Support projects such as installing new machinery or major upgrades to existing equipment

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or comparable discipline
  • Programming experience
  • 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  • Experience with Allen Bradley or Rockwell components and software
  • Programming experience with RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk View Studio
  • Experience with Solidworks 2019 or similar drawing packages
  • Project management experience
  • Production support experience
