We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a thirst for learning, in support of Enterprise solutions built on a foundation of Microsoft services. Candidates with proven depth creating solutions with Microsoft 365 and will be positioned for success in our organization. Proven experience with the design, deployment and management of Microsoft cloud solutions would be a differentiator.

Be an agent of change supporting an enterprise operations team committed to achieving client-focused, mission-driven excellence within the Department of Homeland Security. Steampunk is looking for someone experienced in the implementation of M365 projects for federal agencies. You'd be responsible for facilitating collaboration and planning and implementation of enterprise M365 modernization. Engineers will support their solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements and creating installation instructions, deployment plans, and providing O&M support. The ideal candidate has experience supporting large enterprises while modernizing operations and processes to achieve agencies modernization goals.
Contributions

You will apply your expertise leading complex projects that are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Success will require the ability to apply your comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. The ideal candidate will function as a technical expert across for assignments evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

Must have 9 years of IT experience (inclusive of 5 years of information security or engineering experience) if you hold a BS or Master's Degree in an IT field. Or, 11 years of IT experience (inclusive of 7 years of Cybersecurity experience) if you hold a BS in a non-IT field. Or, 13 years of IT experience (inclusive of 7 years of Cybersecurity experience) if you hold non degree.

• Proven experience with the design, deployment and management of Microsoft cloud solutions would be a differentiator

• Strong understanding or direct experience with onboarding and operating within Azure IL4 or IL5

• Experience with the designing, engineering, administering and operating one or more of the following: Exchange Online, Azure AD and/or Single Sign On (SOO) solutions such as ADFS, Okta or other SAML or OAuth technologies/solutions

• Understanding of Hybrid Identities, Azure Active Directory Connector (AADC) and/or other Identity Management or synchronization technologies like Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Okta, etc

• Architectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as DLP, RMS/IRM, Azure Information Protection

• Experience with Group Policy Objects and Management

• Analyze requirements and system architectures to refine system requirements, specifications and resulting design plans

• Reviews completion and implementation of system configurations and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients
Qualifications

9+ years leading and supporting information technology projects.

5+ years planning projects within agile teams.

Experience in sprint planning and execution of work using Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses at least one of the following professional security certifications:
    • Project Management Professional or higher
    • Microsoft security or engineering certifications (Azure, Admin, Engineering etc).
    • AWS certifications (solutions architect, security etc).
    • Software Security Certifications
    • CSSLP: Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional
    • ITIL
    • Similar security professional certifications must be approved by the Federal PM.
