Overview
Assist with construction, preparation, fittings, and maintenance of costumes for Live Entertainment shows and events, (including stage shows, street performers, musicians, characters, etc.) Launder and transport costumes to performance locations as needed.
Assist with fast dress changes during performances.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a professional costume shop preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of machine sewing and hand sewing techniques.
- Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Responsibilities Include:
- Stitchers prepare costumes for shows (stage shows, street performers, musicians, characters, etc.) and transport costumes to locations as needed.
- Dressers assist show participants with fast dress changes during the show.
- Assist with the construction of show costumes, following pattern directions and the direction of the manager and supervision.
- Organize costumes for fittings and photo shoots at the direction of the manager.
- Organize costumes for laundry, and deliver to laundry.
- Pick up laundry and returns to theatre.
- Inform manager of any operational or technical problems, especially those related to costuming.
- Follow the directives and procedures of the costume shop.
