About the job

The role will serve as the primary legal assistant for the Miami office of a national law firm. The position focuses heavily on scheduling hearings, depositions and mediations including coordinating with clients. The position includes eligibility for medical, life, disability, and dental benefits, an optional employer-matched 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities include:

• Case management involving maintaining document control, calendaring docket deadlines, and filing.
• Focus on scheduling and calendaring hearing depositions and mediations.
• Preparation and organization of a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
• Mailings, filings, and assembling witness files
• Preparation for depositions, and deposition/medical summaries
• Preparation for hearings; document production
