ECS is seeking a Linux/Unix System Administrator III to work in our office in Albuquerque, NM.

Required Skills:

  • U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain a DOE Q level clearance. An active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret clearance a plus.
  • BS/BA degree and 2 years of experience.
  • P rocess Software Assurance method free from vulnerabilities on Linux OS machines.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain production Linux operating systems in accordance with established IT policies and guidelines for items such as security, networks, and filesystems.
  • Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages.
  • Continually monitor and tune multiple-systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Patch remediation for all server-based and workstation computer systems assigned to the customer support group on various networks.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity or experience with virtualized systems (such as KVM, ESX) and containers
  • Working knowledge of authentication methodologies such as Kerberos, PAM, and LDAP
  • Working knowledge of TCT/IP, HTTP,SSL, DNS, FTP, SSH, another common Internet protocols
  • Familiarity or experience with automation tools such as Ansible
  • Experience with solving practical problems and system analysis of IT infrastructures
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment
  • CLI, scripting (Bash, Python), and searching/parsing log files
