Use your culinary skills to serve individuals in the Western Massachusetts community on the road to recovery from addiction!

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Line/Utility Cook for the Franklin Recovery Center at Behavioral Health Network! Cooks adhere to kitchen compliance standards set by the Department of Public Health and maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation environment. Using clear and appropriate communication to all parties, they order food, plan menus, and prepare nutritious and healthy meals for the individuals served. Cooks maintain their ServSafe certification and may also transport food to other sites as needed. As a Cook, you will get the opportunity to work independently, learn to manage a food budget, do menu planning, and learn to maintain a kitchen to DPH standards and regulations.

The Franklin Recovery Center in Greenfield, MA serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and are at the beginning of their recovery. A Medical Director and an Addiction Medicine Physician work with a team of Recovery Specialists, Counselors, and nurses to provide acute treatment and detoxification services to the Franklin Recovery Center and the adjacent Northern Hope Center.

Cooks at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
  • Food preparation experience in a program (preferred).
  • ServSafe certification (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License (required).
  • Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration.
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems (required).
