Job Description

Lumen’s legal department is looking for a talented Legal Operations Analyst to help support the department's day-to-day business operations, focusing on budgets and collaboration with legal department leaders to research, identify, design and implement process improvements and new technologies that improve operational efficiency and free up attorney time.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work with the legal team and departmental leadership to identify workflow improvement needs and identify and implement solutions in order to increase overall efficiency that aligns with departmental objectives and priorities and furthers the legal department’s digital transformation
Provide support on a wide range of topics, including: project planning and management; budget evaluation, preparation and monitoring; and identification, collection and reporting on key performance indicators and relevant metrics that measure success
Collaborate with internal and/or external stakeholders to create executive level summaries and presentations
Work with teams to identify opportunities to drive and improve processes and operations
Help evaluate and support transformation related projects to improve efficiency and process workflows
Provide back-up support to Legal Assistants as needed
Other duties as assigned

What We Look For in a Candidate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience in cross-functional program or project management or legal operations in a corporate in-house legal department or a law firm
Experience in defining program requirements and using and analyzing data and metrics to communicate insights and determine improvements
Ability to operate independently with high integrity and ethics, follow-up with internal stakeholders to drive progress, manage time and priorities appropriately
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex language and data into simple, concise bullet points, graphs, charts and dashboards
Advanced PowerPoint skills
Experience in evaluating, preparing and monitoring budgets
Ability to respond quickly to a changing environment
Proficient in video conferencing communications and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams and Zoom)
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desire and aptitude to learn new concepts, programs, and software on the job

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
