Job Overview

In the role of a Lead Support Engineer, Technical Support, the candidate -

  • Will be responsible for providing technical expertise in maintaining system availability, troubleshooting and resolving customer technical issues.
  • Will deliver a superior customer experience by effectively understanding the incidents logged by the customer, complete root cause analysis, provide the business impact and deliver the solution to the customer.
  • Will be comfortable working remotely and be able to work across time zones and with remote teams.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to our customers, displaying a sense of urgency with strong incident and problem management with ability to thrive in a rapid and fast pace environment.
  • Analyze the defects and plan to deliver solutions with a quick turnaround time.
  • Follow software best practices to code, test, deploy and release fixes to the customer.
  • Monitor daily operational activities and ensure no manual intervention is involved.
  • Monitor production, identify performance bottlenecks and work towards resolving identified issues.
  • Configure user interface as per customer requirements and design using DevStudio Platform to create/customize the application as per customer requirements.
  • Unit/Integration testing to confirm business scenarios on the app/web page
  • Participate in requirement discussions and contribute in designing the solution
  • Co-ordinate with Base Product & Platform teams for issue resolution, new feature related discussions etc.
  • Perform after-hours system implementation, maintenance and support as required including occasional 24x7 on-call coverage.

All About You

  • Typically has 8+ years' experience in ORACLE SQL / PL-SQL technologies.
  • Experience in SQL: sub-queries, joins, Oracle in built functions.
  • Strong skills in Oracle server-side programming which includes SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, Materialize Views, Temporary tables.
  • Experience in Exception Handling and debugging PL/SQL Code, DDL, DML, and DBMS jobs.
  • Experience in creating Materialized Views and Indexes for better performance of summary tables, Autonomous Transactions, and developing Dynamic SQL Statements.
  • Experience in writing Cursors, User-defined Object types, Records, and Tables in PL/SQL Programming for generating worksheets, Arrays & Queues.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL Design, Development, Tuning and debugging skills
  • Knowledge of software versioning and revision control system; experienced with code merging process.
  • Experience on working with "configuration" driven tools/platforms/framework would be added advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify and communicate technical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to identify, define and understand a problem, have knowledge of root cause analysis and research effective solutions for the customer.
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and a mindset that allows them to develop understanding, to grow, and use new strategies that they've learned along the way.
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex customer and internal issues.
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer service.
  • Works well in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent required.
