RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Lead QA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL).Responsibilities include:

• Participate in the entire product development cycle and get clear understanding of all features in software and provide feedback
• Adapt to rapid deployment cycles and changes in testing patterns
• Lead QA will perform exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented
• Develop, publish, implement, and maintain test cases
• Perform performance, scalability, security, and usability testing to ensue non-functional requirements are also met
• Identify differences between established standards, user applications, and suggest modifications to conform to standards
• Conduct compatibility tests with various systems and software
• Lead QA will recommend program improvements or corrections to developers
• Create and maintain qualitative and quantitative metrics
• Develop and execute manual functional and regression test cases
• Analyzes, tracks, reports on application issue, maintains documentation on project issues, and defect metrics

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience as a QA engineer with Strong automation experience
• Needs to have Web Services Testing/API testing/Back-End testing experience
• Must be able to show strong QA characteristics at all levels
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, is comfortable reaching out across teams as needed for clarification, etc. (Candidate will need to represent QA in agile teams)
• Must have excellent SQL skills for backend testing
• Experience in planning, documenting, and reviewing test cases/suites
• Experience with manual, automated functional, and regression testing
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to translate (interpret/examine) requirements and troubleshoot issues
• Significant experience testing cross browser web applications
• Excellent culture fit and ability to collaborate with the team
• Experience with the SEI-CMM (Capability Maturity Model), SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), Agile Development Methodologies
• Experience in generating, monitoring, updating, and reporting software discrepancies
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint) and have strong written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong mathematical skills
