The Role


The Lead Marketing Manager is responsible for the small business strategy for new and complex products. This role includes heavy strategic planning, multi-channel marketing campaign development, local and field sales marketing creation, and content marketing planning. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of campaign management, go-to-market planning, testing, content strategy, and data analysis to make performance-based marketing optimizations.

This is a highly visible role that will work with key stakeholders within Lumen's Mass Markets division. This role includes a high degree of cross-collaboration and requires exceptional communication skills. In this role, you will need a strong understanding of media platforms and tools and be efficient with the Windows portfolio (PowerPoint, Excel).

The Main Responsibilities

 

  • Support cross-functional teams to create best-in-class, data-driven B2B GTM strategies for new and complex products that include sophisticated segmented and geo-based marketing approaches to win market share.
  • Build customer acquisition and retention marketing campaign strategy, responsible for campaign planning, development, and deployment across channels and tactics.
  • Responsible for developing the tactical touch strategy for specific products within the small business portfolio.
  • Develop tools and material to aid sales teams in lead generation and relationship building.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of your marketing plans to drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Outline the small business CenturyLink and Quantum Fiber brand's content needs and work with internal teams to have regular compelling content created.
  • Collaborate with the Advertising agency, internal creative studio, and brand and communication team on creative strategy and tactical execution of ads.
  • Actively monitor customer, network, and product data to manage and direct marketing tactics and sales support material.
  • Define and track campaign KPIs and benchmarks to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide weekly/monthly readouts on marketing KPs and associated initiatives to peer and executive stakeholders.

What We Look For in a Candidate


Required

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience 
  • 6+ years of related experience or 4+ years of experience with Master's degree
  • Experience managing customer acquisition and retention marketing campaign strategy
  • Proven experience analyzing data to drive business decisions
  • Effective and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leadership within the organization
  • Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

 

Preferred

 

  • Master's Degree
  • Consumer service marketing (e.g. telecom, banking, cable or content streaming services)
  • Comfortable working with analytic platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Tableau
  • Experience at a creative agency in an account or strategy role

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
