Merakey, York is currently hiring a Kitchen Supervisor. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.

• Under the supervision of the Program Director, provide direct supervision of cooks to ensure productivity.

• Work with the entire EAC management team and HR department concerning employee discipline and discharge.

• Assist in hiring and training of new staff.

• Responsible for overseeing and conducting all food shopping, food preparation, the serving of meals and snacks to the program residents, and kitchen clean up.

• Responsible for grocery shopping in preparation for each week's meals and snacks at the company identified grocery store.

• Assist with re-fueling agency vehicles.

• Collaborate with nursing in regard to residents' doctor ordered special diets and food allergies which must be taken into account when grocery shopping and during meal preparation.

• Prepare meals and snacks as outlined on the menu for the day and be ready to serve meals and snacks to the residents at the scheduled meal and snack times.

• Maintain a necessary level of good hygiene and sanitation when handling food and related items and performing these services.

• Ensure kitchen and dining room are clean.

• Ensure all required temperatures (refrigerators and freezers) are documented on each shift.

• Attend monthly kitchen meetings as outlined by Program Director.

• Report all resident crisis and or unusual incidents accurately and immediately to the Administrator On Call (AOC).

• Report all non-emergent issues regarding residents or program accurately to immediate supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
