ECS is seeking a Junior Project Coordinator to work in our Columbia, MD office.

Job Description:

This position is part-time (20 hours a week) and requires the duties to be performed in the Columbia, MD office.

The Junior Project Coordinator will assist the Senior Project Coordination Manager and Program Manager in the administration of the program; conduct basic planning for program-level administrative requirements. The right candidate will perform various coordination and tracking tasks, like program-wide and individual communication, on-boarding and off-boarding of personnel, customer service, regulatory compliance, hardware tracking and management, or other audits as required to identify any gaps in standard operating procedures and processes. Additional tasks can include duties such has project documentation and program deliverables. Communicate with Government management personnel PMO, COR and customer agency representatives as needed.

  • This position requires initiative, an inquiring attitude/mindset, strong communication skills, and willingness to help all team members to address any issue they may encounter.
  • Serve as deputy to the Senior Project Coordination Manager; able to communicate between team members, organize and update documentation, conduct internal audits of program-specific hardware, schedule appointments, and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Assist in coordination, distribution, and recollection of hardware assets and access cards for team members coming onto and leaving the program.
  • Meet for on-board and off-boarding of local team members to the program including agency access and hardware.
  • Maintain agency training records for submission to customer as applicable.
  • Maintain and update documentation at regular intervals.
  • Conduct shipping, receiving, and tracking of all government-issued hardware to maintain 100% accountability. This includes travel to the program agency headquarters as needed for IT support to conduct maintenance on GFP laptops.

Required Skills:
  • Have or have the ability to obtain and keep a DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • US Citizenship required per contract.
  • Experience working with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Comfortably embrace technical challenges with creativity and must have strong communication skills and an ability to interact with program manager and project leads daily.
  • Basic management skills to handle organizing and planning of program-level administrative tasks.
  • Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize and follow up with internal and external customer needs.
  • Strong written and/or oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the assigned time through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Must be able to act independently in face-to-face situations using judgment, tact, and discretion.
  • Ability to carry out assigned administrative tasks to their completion; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Government PMO.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information; ability to understand and follow instructions.
Desired Skills:
