Location: Roanoke, TX
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Java Developer - Senior (6-10 yrs.)
Skills equiv. to 6-10 years in comparable position.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Creates user information solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code and ensure designs are in compliance with specifications. Will prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Will support continuous improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Must have hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns is a must.
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Experience with test-driven development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 1 - 2 years experience working with distributed applications across the full development and operational support life cycle
• Experience with Java application development, SpringBoot and Core Java
• Understanding of HTTP and RESTful services, relational and non-relational data stores, and Java development/build tools (such as Jira, IntelliJ , Git, Gradle, and Bamboo)
• Experience with PCF and or other Cloud Offerings
• Experience with MS SQL Server is a plus
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams, working collaboratively across team boundaries
• Demonstrated ability to work alone or in a group while multi-tasking on different projects
• Working knowledge of the Agile/Scrum development methodology a plus
