Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for being a project manager of Information Security. This employee must understand business requirements, be able to plan out tasks, timelines, and resources to meet business objectives. This employee is typically presented with an IT risk that needs to be managed, is expected to research, and then make recommendation on how to best managed that particular risk, is responsible for providing system security services across the enterprise for more than one functional area., etc. In this position the employee will assist in maintaining compliance with TimkenSteel Company security policies, privacy laws, and other applicable regulatory/compliance laws.

Responsibilities Include:

• Project Management - This employee will serve as project manager for security-based implementation projects that will involve coordinating activities with other team members, both inside and outside the department. This employee will drive the overall projects to completion by managing the technical aspects, internal/external communications, and timelines of the project. It will often require managing multiple projects at the same time.
• Logical Thinking/Analysis - This employee will evaluate and consult on security threats associated with various software platforms within the organization to measure and evaluate associated risks with such software platforms. This employee will evaluate technology solutions and provide recommendations for the most secure way to implement these solutions. There are many times this employee will encounter complex problems or situations where it will be necessary to logically process information to understand and produce a solution.
• Policy maintenance - This employee will be responsible for reviewing, updating, or creating company information security policies. Working with the appropriate parties in the company, the employee will receive proper authorization to publish new and/or revised polices.
• Security operations - This employee will be responsible for providing guidance and oversite to security operational tasks. This employee is expected to deliver and update appropriate documentation for administration procedures.
• Technical knowledge - Deliver data configurations and support for Anti-virus, Web Access, Vulnerability Scanning and Remote access solutions. This employee must have a working knowledge of routing and switching, wireless technologies, endpoint protections, physical security, cryptography, operational security, identity and access management, firewall and IDS/IPS technologies.
• This employee is expected to train and mentor other team members and must have the ability to work independently or with a team while taking ownership of the projects and solutions derived from them.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Computer Science or related with 4 years of experience with information security technologies OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related with 3 years of experience with information security technologies.
