Globe Life is looking for a talented and motivated IT Business Analyst Manager who will be responsible for leading the overall requirements process on a very large, multi-year, enterprise project in a fast paced environment. This includes leading a team of analysts, managing the end to end requirements process, facilitating requirements sessions, removing obstacles, driving change, and developing best practices and skills within the team. The role requires ongoing collaboration with a large team of project managers, IT staff, and business partners to ensure processes and practices are efficient, effective, and best support the delivery of business value.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ownership, strategy and direction of the requirements process, in conjunction with the Enterprise Project Management team
  • Guide team members through the implementation of agile requirements practices and program agile transformation
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, requirements and solution alternatives
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with IT and business partners to ensure processes are integrated to support goals
  • Work with business users, business analysts and development team to create and analyze various required project artifacts
  • Propose solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality
  • Ensure team utilizes efficient techniques to elicit and document requirements
  • Ability to understand and guide team members in working through ambiguous requirements, identifying and resolving gaps and dependencies
  • Work with the quality management team to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans
  • Responsible for hiring, resource/task planning and team member development
  • Set team direction, resolve problems, motivate and provide guidance to team members
  • Develop and implement clear goals, measurements, and benchmarks to support the strategic direction to improve speed to market and quality implementations
  • Develop innovative processes, communications, metrics, and accountabilities that result in process improvements
  • Mentor team members to develop strong facilitation, written and verbal communication, and listening skills enabling them to articulate complex business and technical concepts in a concise and natural manner
  • Oversee requirements quality across the Business Analysis team to create, maintain, and deliver detailed requirements documents, focusing on the integrity, coherence, and alignment of requirements across the overall portfolio
  • Collaborate with peer business analysis managers in development of a Business Analysis Center of Excellence and continuous modernization and maturation of analysis processes across the overall organization
