The Inventory Specialist is a key member of the inventory team that has specialized skills in receiving, counting, inventory replenishment, forklift certified, etc., and assists the Inventory Supervisor with inventory needs. The inventory specialist will also help with shipping and production as directed by the inventory supervisor and/or warehouse facility manager.

Specific Responsibilities Receiving/Replenishment/Outbound:

• Assist with unloading client inbound loads.

• Assist with counting client inbound loads.

• Complete receivers on SharePoint and move to completed file

• Complete any follow up with Account Managers regarding receiving o This can be coordinated with the inventory supervisor and/or coordinator as well.

• Complete any necessary pallet tags and add to pallets

• Properly locate and/or stock received product, with support from the lead

• Follow proper receiving protocols and SOP established by the Inventory Manager, Supervisor, and/or Account Manager

• Unloading/Loading Dry ice.

• Unloading CCL Supply loads

• Loading FedEx/UPS. • Loading LTL/FTL Outbound shipments and ensuring accuracy of BOL

Inventory Counts

• Assist Inventory Supervisor with counting products for scheduled inventories.

• Assist Inventory Supervisor with counting pallet/shelf storage for scheduled inventories.

• Assist with cycle counts.

• Enter Cycle Counts into count sheets and recount any discrepancies.

• Proactively investigate and resolve supply inventory issues.

• Review completed counts for accuracy and completeness

Inventory Movement

• Manage inventory by clients preferred method of inventory management. FIFO, FEFO, etc.

• Ensure product is in proper locations for picking and accurate master pick usage

• Coordinate product disposals, including scheduling, overseeing the packup of the donation, preparing donation receipts and pallet tags, and completing inventory adjustments if requested by the account manager.

• Assist Inventory Supervisor with product transfers between on-site and off-site storage to ensure completion

• Monitor inventory moves within accounts and ensure Veracore is updated to reflect accurate product locations.

Other Inventory duties

• Build kits/assemblies for specific accounts as assigned

• Ensure picking space is kept re-stocked and clean for leads to keep workflow running smoothly

• Assist supervisor and purchasing with supplies management tasks as assigned.

• Proactively investigate and resolve supply inventory issues with the Supervisor

• Assist with account fulfillment when directed to by Inventory Supervisor

Requirements

An ideal candidate would exhibit the following:

• Basic math skills.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Preferred experience with inventory tasks such as: receiving, counting, and replenishment.

• A minimum of a high school certificate.

• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

• Must be willing to submit to a background check.

• Demonstrate dependable attendance.

• Adhere to SOPs and safety standards.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL

CHARACTERISTICS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE While performing the duties of this job, the person in this position needs to:

• Be able to stand and /or walk for up to 8-10 hours daily with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Frequently use hands to handle or feel product/materials, talk, and hear for communication with team members.

• Be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling parts and loads weighing 60 lbs. with the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, twist, and reach, as required.

• Frequently be exposed to freezing conditions with proper gear in the warehouse product freezer. Reports directly to: Inventory Supervisor and Warehouse Facility Manage
