What You'll Do

As the Channel Management Intern, you will support our GTM (Go-To-Market) teams to ensure that our Wilson Ball Sports Brands are represented online accurately from a pricing, item image/detail, promotion, and sales channel perspective. Authorized On-line Distribution and Minimum Advertising Policies protect brand equity and our highly valued authorized channel partners. You will be empowered to manage the activities and processes that help us achieve and maintain clean channels of distribution and reduce policy violators & violations.

Here is what you'll do as a Channel Management Intern:

  • The primary objective of this project is to analyze and execute our current Wilson On-line Distribution and Minimum Advertising Policies among all Wilson product categories/sports in the US and Canada in tandem with our outside service partner (Track Street) in order to make recommendations on how to improve those processes specifically to benefit our Wilson.com business as opposed to our Wholesale business.
  • Within this primary objective, you will be asked to identify, track and communicate any violations to our internet sales and distribution policies.
  • Track and report back on progress towards MAP and Distribution clean-up targets; as needed (weekly, monthly)
  • The secondary objective of this project will be to research the Brand Equity impacts of pricing erosion on digital platforms in North America and synthesize that research into the overall objective and recommendation for improvement.
  • Meet with Commercial Teams regularly to review MAP and Channel Management strategies, results and identify areas of risk / opportunities.
  • The tertiary objective of this project will be focused on pricing elasticity in the digital platforms Wilson Baseball operates within. Utilizing a new price tracking capability on Track Street, we would like you to track and analyze the marketplace pricing fluctuations of our DeMarini/Louisville Slugger performance bats and report weekly back to our digital commercial lead in Baseball.
  • You will participate in projects relating to online presence and online audits providing summaries and recommendations to elevate positive Amer Brand presence on our customer's websites.

What We're Looking For

We would like our intern to be working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Sports Marketing preferred but not required for this role.

  • Additional responsibilities will include:
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organization and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present information, respond to questions and work with the cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and recommend new strategies/processes
