Description:

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese of Tulane University seeks to appoint Instructors of Spanish to begin July 1, 2022. The ideal candidates will be experienced teachers of language and culture, committed to novice and intermediate level learners. This is a faculty position with a 3-year renewable contract, a 3/3 course load of beginning and intermediate Spanish language instruction, and the opportunity to participate in Tulane's employee benefits program.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Master's or Advanced Degree in Spanish, Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, Curriculum and Instruction, Linguistics, or extensive experience teaching Spanish language at the introductory and intermediate levels; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; expertise in teaching Spanish language and culture to undergraduate university students; and knowledge of blended and online teaching modalities. Experience in inclusive teaching and adaptive L2 pedagogy are a plus.
