RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Corona, CA that is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer that will be managing the technical lifecycle of the infrastructure stack in strategic emerging technology projects across planning, initialization and operationalization phases Responsibilities:
  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area to generate creative solutions

  • Identifying and monitoring priorities, deadlines, and expectations

  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities
  • Escalating issues or risks, as appropriate
  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by proactively providing resources, information, advice, and expertise with coworkers and customers
  • Influencing others through technical explanations and examples
  • Providing occasional mentoring to team members
  • Listening and responding to, seeking, and addressing performance feedback
  • Creating plans to capitalize on strengths and develop weaknesses
  • Anticipating and responding to the needs of others
  • Adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback
  • Develops or modifies solutions by identifying technical solutions to business problems
  • Collaborates with various IT Teams (e.g., database, operations, technical support) throughout system development and implementation
  • Translates business requirements, and functional and non-functional requirements, into technical specifications that support integrated and sustainable designs for designated infrastructure systems, with guidance from senior colleagues as appropriate
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts to understand business needs and functional specifications


REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree required - preferred Computer Science degree
  • MS or HP Systems Administrator or Engineer certification(s) preferred
  • VMware certification preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience working with server hardware management tools and/or server hardware preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in the configuration and administration of remote access and out-of-band network software preferred
  • Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Perl (or similar) scripting languages
Experience with:
  • Working with Unix/Linux servers, in the design and configuration of Windows servers infrastructure
  • Working with configuration management software
  • Working with operating system and client/server utilities
  • Working with virtualization technologies, in automation, with infrastructure software development and deployment


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
