Job Description - Infrastructure Engineer - Full Time 2nd shift
Description
The Infrastructure Engineer's primary responsibility is to develop and execute against a consistent patch/release management schedule that is performed during non-business hours (2nd shift) to minimize impact to business operations. The role is responsible for researching patches and upcoming software releases, and determining the appropriate tasks, resources, and timeframes for deployment. Changes are in alignment with IT policies and procedures where changes are tested first in CHC's test environment (where applicable), back-up and back-out plans are reviewed as part of IT's change management process, and software updates are proactively communicated, deployed, and monitored. This position will assist in monitoring and trouble-shooting after-hours support for other system administration duties such as IT Infrastructure, Windows Active Directory, and Exchange management as needed.
The position will also work in close coordination with the IT Security group to ensure systems are secured and risks are managed / mitigated in a timely manner.
Attention to detail, the ability to comprehend and communicate technical release notes in non-technical manner, and determining the appropriate activities and monitoring reports are required.
