Job Description
Support the daily Information Systems (IS) operation and maintenance and network administration of the Command's AIS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Command's Information systems. Ensure that all servers, switches, routers, crypto, fiber connections, attached leased circuits and distant end hardware are all fully secure and following proper operations through security scans and implementation of security controls, as directed.
  • Monitor user accounts ensuring correct permissions are assigned for level of access. Validate in-hold accounts of detaching personnel from the Command.
  • Provide information assurance guidance and oversight for all Command networks and stand-alone systems
  • Develop formal Information System Security, education and training, and awareness program coordinating with the Command Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM) and keeping the customer informed on all issues
  • Coordinate information security inspections to include an incident response action should they be discovered
  • Maintain liaison with high-level professionals in other Commands/activities, intelligence agencies, and Contractor facilities to identify and define current and future technologies to support intelligence requirements
  • Create system security plans, plan of action and milestones, security action plan, personnel training, and help maintain policies for all Command networks supporting the ISSM in all missions
  • Monitor information security inspections to include incident response actions as well as ensuring corrective measures have been taken
  • Coordinate with Program Security Officer (PSO), SSO, and Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) personnel in accreditation processes
  • Other Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 5 years as ISSO/Information Assurance Manager Support
  • BA/BS in degree in IT related field OR three years of addition applied work experience
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 Mail (Exchange Server 2010)
  • Direct Service DNS
  • DHCP TCP/IP experience
  • Server Monitor experience
  • DoDD 8140: Security Plus, CompTIA Advance Security Practitioner (CASP) or CISSP
  • TS clearance
Desired:
  • Current TS/SCI with Poly or ability to attain within a year
  • Possess eligibility for access to TS/SCI
  • Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination
  • Possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Possess ability to work within a diverse workforce made up of both civilian and military personnel
  • Knowledge of MS Suite
  • Self-motivated
  • RHEL 5 or newer knowledge/experience
  • VMware ESVi knowledge/experience
  • MS SharePoint 2013 or newer knowledge/experience
  • Possess the ability to evaluate current and emerging technology.
  • Proficient in Host Based Security Systems, Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Monitor and Risk Scoring (CMRS)
  • Experience in using DoD/DISA Vulnerability Management System (VMS) and Electrical Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS)
  • ACAS knowledge/experience
  • Solar Winds
  • MS Back up services software experience
  • Windows 10 experience
Education: BA/BS degree in IT related field OR three years of additional applied work experience
Years Experience: Approximately 5 years as an AIS Network engineer with a BA/BS degree in IT related field OR three years of additional applied work experience
