Summary of Duties:
This position supports the success and personal development of students through the administrative coordination of WSU's immunization requirements and public health initiatives. This position will have a leadership role in vaccination event planning, tracking, and managing the immunization status and compliance of WSU students systemwide. Serves as a liaison between Cougar Health Services and system stakeholders regarding immunization compliance and registration holds. Will advise on infection control, public health, safety, and clinical shadowing at CHS. Monitor and calculate herd immunity of students. Communicate herd immunity data and immunization trends to stakeholders to ensure best practices in outbreak prevention programming. Coordinate and manage immunization records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated success working collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Evidence of the ability to provide leadership and problem-solving skills in analyzing public health initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking/presenting and small group facilitation.
Available to work some nights and/or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Experience conducting needs assessments and using results to guide programmatic decisions and budget allocations.
Experience developing and implementing public health initiatives.
Experience working in a college/university setting.
Experience with personnel training.
Experience with supervision.
Certification or ability to become certified in infection control.
Certification or ability to become certified as Healthcare Provider BLS trainer.
History of verified active membership in relevant professional associations (e.g. ACHA, APHA, APIC, NASPA, SOPHE, etc.)
