Position Overview:

Motiva is hiring a Process Engineer (Technical Support) to join our Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex. The Process Engineer provides technical support by ensuring that refinery boundary measurements are accurate and meet U.S. Customs and American Petroleum Institute Guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor custody movements and reconcile out of tolerance losses/gains
• Monitor all primary and secondary custody transfer measurement points for accuracy and ensure that measurement devices are calibrated as scheduled
• Track and analyze the mass balance gain/loss targets and key performance indicators
• Validate and close inventory by reviewing the auto-hand gauge comparisons and make necessary corrections
• Ensure meter and scale calibrations are performed as scheduled
• Ensure all custody measurement points are in service and measuring correctly
• Ensure books are closed each month with accurate inventories

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
• 3+ years of experience working in a technical role in the refining or petrochemical industry
• Understanding of principles of material balance and refinery operations

Education, Experience and Skills Preferred:

• Experience with Control Systems, Instrumentation, or Analyzer maintenance and strategies
• 5+ years of experience working in the refining or petrochemical industry

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)

Other Requirements:

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the requirement of a work visa
• Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
• Must support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings
• Must support and comply with the company's harassment free workplace environment policy
• Must support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives
• Must support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies
