Overview

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identify maintenance risks on HVAC Systems tems
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems including, but not limited to:

Facility systems

• • Smoke exhaust systems
  • Makeup air units, Commercial HVAC roof units
  • Reisner heaters, Radiant heater

Assembly systems

• • Vehicle AC charging systems

Paint systems

• • Cool down tunnel, Burn off oven, Paint oven
  • Air makeup unit

Machine chiller units

• • Lasers, Machining centers, Robots

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC controls. Including but not limited to:

Various types of VFD's

• • Siemens
  • Honeywell
  • Allen Bradley
  • Rockwell Automation

• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing HVAC systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Must comply with appliance and service standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Must be able to acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs.
• Must be able to repair of HVAC equipment by performing both electrical and mechanical work
• Must be able to repair critical HVAC equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, and completing projects where mechanical and electrical work is required.
• Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with your customer as to important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion.
• Participating in daily shift meetings, prioritizing and reviewing work orders to schedule daily work
• Actively perform work to ensure WCM criteria is met as outlined in the WCM principles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• Journeyman HVAC degree and/or 5 years' experience in the HVAC commercial field
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
• High ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge is desired
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
