Description:

The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Analyst will be a super-user and subject matter expert in our instance of Workday across all modules. This role will be responsible for day-to-day system support, including setup, configuration, security, maintenance, reporting, user support, testing, troubleshooting, and other projects or responsibilities as required. The HRIS Analyst will ensure effective use of the Workday system by identifying business needs and applying best practices to recommend solutions in response to business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of Workday including HCM, Talent Acquisition, Talent Optimization, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, etc.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for supporting and training end users
  • Troubleshoot and respond to issues timely and resolve /redirect/ escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure prioritization of change requests and evaluate the system-wide impact of any proposed enhancements by using best practices to meet business needs
  • Perform ongoing maintenance regarding tenant set-up, data updates (EIBs), business processes, integrations and reporting
  • Review enhancement and functionality changes, highlighting items of significance along with recommendations of enhancements to adopt
  • Configure and test new enhancements and related changes; ensure all delegated testing is complete across the modules
  • Manage data integrity including conducting data audits and researching appropriate actions
  • Continuously analyze internal business processes to ensure optimal configuration
  • Actively participate in Workday Community, customer groups and networking events; leverage Workday network to identify best practices
  • Acts as the Workday security administrator by adding/changing/deleting and reviewing user access; adds new fields, troubleshoots access and population issues, makes corrections and updates security profiles in accordance with SOX issue process; adds/changes/deletes and reviews user access that may feed other systems
  • Assist with leading implementation activities and projects including configuration, testing, training, change management, and communications.
  • Serve as a Named Support Contact to log cases and partner with Workday Support for problem solving, learning and testing solutions
  • Create and utilize various types of reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite), calculated fields, scheduled output, etc. to deliver creative solutions
  • Support annual configurations required for benefits open enrollment, compensation planning and performance management, consulting with internal Workday team or functional areas on content decisions
  • Participate in scheduled systems upgrades, including test plan development, regression/patch testing, and reviewing and prototyping new functionality
  • Escalate issues/risks pro-actively and regular communicate status and challenges to the appropriate people
  • Other projects or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree (preference for a focus in Technology Services or Computer Science)
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical Workday Administration experience
  • Must have experience in Workday Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, business process configurations, Security, Time Tracking, Talent and Compensation
  • Must have good knowledge in creation and maintenance of Workday Supervisory Organizations, Subordinate Supervisory Organizations, Locations, Company, Cost Centers, Business units and Organizational & Cost Center Hierarchies
  • Must have experience in creating Job Profiles, Job Families and Job Family Groups
  • Must have experience in managing and maintaining Role Based Security, User Based Security, and Job Based Security Groups
  • Prior experience working on creating Compensation Rules, Compensation Components and setting up Compensation Segments
  • Prior experience in Workday cyclical activities including the annual compensation review, performance reviews, release management and any upgrade cycles
  • Proven experience of working in an HR systems environment using Workday, either supporting deployment and implementation or in a business-as-usual status
  • Good knowledge in inbound outbound integrations using core connector, working with EIB and report writer.
  • Experience with iterative or agile software development methodologies
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
