Background Information:

Innovative Defense Technologies(IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking an HR Specialist to be based in our Arlington office.

Overview:

The HR Specialist for Training will create, develop or curate, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. The right candidate has a track record of developing learning paths in multiple competency areas and rolling them out company-wide: technical/functional, program management, business development, and leadership.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.



Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops training and programs to fulfill employee and organizational needs.
  • Creates and/or acquires training content, guides, and course materials.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, communication with managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Supports employee onboarding and orientation by facilitating and offering improvement ideas.
  • Delivers training virtually, in-person and blended.
  • Collaborates with the Talent Development Coordinator to maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Contributes to the development of creating competencies and career tracks.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field.
  • At least five years of training experience required.
Required skills:
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. - Ability to evaluate and research training content and delivery options.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs.
  • Instructional design and delivery strategies for a hybrid environment.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • High proficiency in training content development tools, such as but not limited to Create Tool, Rise, Articulate, and Storyline.
  • Working capability to imbed and edit video for training purposes.
