Everest Global Services, Inc., a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd, is currently seeking a HR Business Partner II- Insurance to join our Human Resources Team to help Everest stand out when it comes to our people - from leadership, performance and talent management to rewards and career opportunities. This role is based in Warren, NJ working a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Using your human resources expertise and a solid understanding of our business you'll help guide your clients through all people-related matters as they navigate challenges and embrace opportunities. You'll also help your clients be better leaders by supporting them in mentoring, providing feedback, and managing performance. You will play a key role in building a work environment where everyone can thrive.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Delivers and executes a full spectrum of HR solutions and services to Insurance business.
  • Contributes to the creation of programs that support business strategy and drive higher levels of employee performance and engagement.
  • Direct involvement in various initiatives including our Annual Compensation Process, Performance Management, Annual Talent Review, Training Initiatives, etc.
  • Facilitates on-boarding, employee development and exit process activities.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive employee appreciation and recognition initiatives in order to inspire and motivate our workforce.
  • Partner with HR Business Partner on monthly reporting dashboard to help drive business insights through analysis.
  • Partners with managers and lead HRBPs to support employee relations matters including: researching matters, facilitating/documenting discussions and providing solutions.
  • Partners with managers to coach, give feedback, and manage performance effectively.
  • Including identifying gaps in performance, facilitating/documenting discussions or performance improvement plans, identifying solutions (providing written warnings, evaluation periods, performance improvement plans, and/or terminations).
  • Establishes self as 'go to' HR person for supervisors and employees and develops effective working relationships with local management and employees on HR policies, procedures and day to day HR transaction handling. Partners with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to process employment transactions (hires, transfers, promotions etc.)

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 HR experience preferably as a HR Business Partner
  • Experience in the Reinsurance or P&C Insurance industry preferred

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
  • Experience leveraging data to influence decision making outcomes with ability to "tell the story" using data.
  • Intellectual curiosity; brings insights into the team and business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for multiple audiences including staff, management, and senior executives.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a disciplined approach to process.
