Description

Boulder Scientific Company (BSC) is headquartered in Mead, CO, and is a premier provider of organometallic compounds and other specialty chemicals used in a wide range of applications. BSC is a pioneer and leading manufacturer of metallocene catalysts and co-catalysts that are primarily used to produce metallocene polyethylene, polypropylene and elastomers, but also supplies products into Electronics, Pharmaceutical and Defense applications. BSC operates two sites in Northern Colorado, which include: a main production facility in Mead and a second facility in Longmont. BSC has continuously grown the sales of its products to existing and new customers and expects to continue on a high growth trajectory. BSC is seeking an HR Business Partner to support a busy and growing HR department. The HR Business Partner will work with assigned business leaders and their teams to support all aspects of the HR function including organizational development, performance management, staffing, employee relations, culture, and change management. Job Responsibilities Primary point of contact to assigned teams on all HR-related topics Partner with area leaders to develop job openings, write job descriptions, analyze compensation for openings, lead interviewer training, select candidates, guide the internal applicant process, interview candidates, facilitate team discussions on candidates, and finalize job offers Work with leaders to develop career ladders that allow for effective employee development Support performance management throughout the year; partner with teams during performance review and promotion cycles Research and recommend new company policies and make updates to current policies Be the expert for the HR department on one of these focus areas: staffing, benefits, HRIS/data/systems, or compensation Partner with managers on employee relations issues, including progressive discipline and involuntary terminations Listen and respond to employee questions, concerns, and suggestions; make recommendations to improve the working environment for employees Assist employees with career development Conduct exit interviews to seek ways to improve the employee experience Coach managers on HR processes and to be more effective, independent leaders Draft and review leaders' all-company communications Support employee events Travel between BSC's Mead and Longmont sites as needed Qualifications BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related program, MS/MBA preferred Experience At least six years of HR experience with increasing responsibilities, independence, and expertise At least two years' experience supporting senior leaders and their teams HR experience in a small company preferred Demonstrated organizational skills when managing multiple tasks Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills Experience managing confidential information Attention to detail Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus or in another shift schedule environment Work Environment This position will involve extended keyboarding time. Position requires that employee be able to move about a multi-building campus, filing and storage rooms, and between the Mead and Longmont sites.
