Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity at our Sleep Inn in Port Charlotte, FL. Located just off I-75, Sleep Inn & Suites Port Charlotte is close to pristine beaches, local golf courses, world-famous fishing at Boca Grande and Charlotte Sports Park, home of the spring training operations for the Tampa Bay Rays. Our three-story hotel offers 78 rooms; complimentary hot breakfasts every morning; a business center with public computers, printers, and fax services; an outdoor pool; and special event space that accommodates up to 100 guests.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
  • Observes all house and safety rules, food handling procedures, and security procedures.
  • Assist with inventories as scheduled.
  • Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Welcome, greet and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby area. Responsible for the setup, service, maintenance, and breakdown of the breakfast bar line; prepare specified food items at the breakfast bar, replenishing food and assist in serving food from the breakfast bar line to the guests, courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications.

Qualifications
  • Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
  • Food safety certification preferred.
