Overview:

California’s Great America has an opening for a Group Sales Coordinator. This position assists Sales and Marketing staff and Senior Sales Executives in administrative functions related to coordinating sales/marketing events and supporting sales/marketing initiatives. Additionally, this team member will produce and develop contracts, promotional materials, and coordinates delivery schedules. The Group Sales Coordinator will also assist with customer service inquiries/telemarketing sales calls as needed, as well as participates in the training and development of co‑workers


How You'll Make A Difference:

  • Meet with clients to plan event logistics, including venue, guests, programs, and catering.
  • Coordinate with all departments involved in the organization of the event.
  • Track event expenses and review accuracy of invoices.
  • Supervise the set-up, running, and break down of the event, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Tracks assigned events, ticket orders and fulfillment as required.
  • Initiates and processes material orders. Ensures all are processed are completed efficiently and in a professional manner. Ensures successful client/guest service to support Sales team goals.
  • Handles routine correspondence/mail, telephone coverage, area memos, qualify incoming calls, training as needed, maintain office equipment.
  • Coordinates all print/ticket orders within approved guidelines. Submits requisitions, proof, follow‑up, and pick up of finished materials. Completes overall material tracking of each sales/marketing or client event as needed.
  • Maintains effective system of completed materials to ensure timeliness of deliveries are met.
  • Assists with special projects or assignments directed by Supervisor.
  • Assists sales/marketing team, Group Sales Director and Senior Sales Executive with client customer service including fams, collateral support, client inquiries, trade show coordination and assists in Sales/Marketing staff travel needs when requested.
  • Takes responsibility for secondary trade show/event support as needed both in Park and off‑property.
  • Assists manager with evaluating booking trends and takes proactive steps to ensure program success.
  • Liaisons with Guest Services as needed for client/guest ease of entry to park as related to assigned sales channel.
  • Works directly with sales channel segment as assigned by Supervisor. Including but not limited to: Corporate Events, Corporate Ticketing, Special Markets, Youth, or Tourism.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of solid Customer Service, Office Administration or Sales environment experience preferred.
  • PC Knowledge. (Microsoft Office applications/ATS/CRM) Typing 55wpm with accuracy. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
