Job Summary
The Graduate Admissions Coordinator will work as a member of the School of Science Engineering (SSE) Graduate Affairs Office to achieve recruitment goals for both domestic and international students and to increase the overall quality and diversity of applicants to each program. The Graduate Admissions Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students through the recruitment funnel. This role will collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the admissions process on planning, communications, application review, and admission and scholarship recommendations, as well as the tracking and reporting of recruitment efforts and trends.
Job Duties
1. Prospect Management
* Develop expertise and maintain proficient knowledge of SSE graduate programs, admissions policies and procedures, graduate scholarships and financial support, curriculum, faculty expertise, accreditation, internships, career services and professional opportunities.
* Serve as a helpful and knowledgeable direct contact for prospective students; interpret policies and procedures and provide adept guidance through the inquiry, application and admissions process through various channels of communication.
* Ensure successful ongoing communication with student prospects in the admissions funnel.
* Maintain accurate prospective student records to ensure strongest outcomes.
* Monitor daily prospect inquiries and applications and add new prospects to communication flow in appropriate application systems (currently Salesforce and CollegeNet).
* Enter application data and generate pipeline reports.
2. Recruiting
* Advise and counsel prospective students to assess fit with SSE programs based on experience, goals, and interests.
* Coordinate with marketing for event promotion.
* Attend recruiting/career events internal and external to SLU.
* Ensure timely follow up for prospective students who attend recruitment events.
* Execute outreach and communications strategies.
3. Admissions
* Monitor applications daily and follow up on missing application information.
* Facilitate communication with faculty directors when applications are ready to review.
* Supervise application review process for non-doctoral programs.
* Working with SLU-INTO and Global Grad staff regarding initial admission.
4. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field
